Clinical Observation of Vaginal Trichomoniasis

Abstract
|
|
|
During the period of July to October, 1969, the observation for recent prevalence rate of Trichomonas vaginalis were performed with direct wet smear method in Seoul Youngdungpo City Hospital for 298 randomly selected patients.
The results were as follows;
1)The prevalence of T.vaginalis among 298 cases was shown 57 cases (19.12%).
2) The prevalence rate of T. vaginalis in the woman with leukorrhea was shown 40.00%
3)Of the woman with T. vaginalis, 91.36% complained leukorrhea.
4) In the age distribution, the most predominant age group was 20-39 years of age.
5) The infection rate of T. vaginalis in the pregnant women was more predominant than nonpregnant women.
6) In relation to vaginal pH, it was shown most prevalent in pH 5.1-6.0.
7) In relation to parity and abortion, there were no remar kable differences.
8) Of the woman with T. vaginalis, 38.59% complained vulvar pruritus.
